A big update has come out for the homeless people of Singapore. Let us tell you that a report was released last Friday in which the number of homeless people has decreased by 6.4% in a single night in 2025 as compared to 2022 and this has led to a big change in Singapore. Apart from this, the Singapore government is also making big efforts to deal with the problem of homelessness and has come forward to help them through various schemes.
MSF community organizations stepped forward
Let us tell you that now Singapore’s MSF community organization has come forward to help in tackling the problem of homelessness and has announced the launch of a fund of S$450,000 (US$349,896). The ministry has also said that applications will start from April 1, 2026 and efforts will be made to tackle this problem through this application.
According to India News, a total of 496 homeless people were counted during a one-night street count on July 18, 2025. This count is significantly lower than in 2022, and while the number of homeless people seen this year is significantly lower, the Singapore government has stepped in to address these problems, and all the credit goes to the MSF community organization.
Let me tell you that homeless people are those people who sleep in public places, be it winter season or any other condition, they face problems, this includes those people who do not have a house and also those people who have a house but cannot go back, they are living their life on the streets.
Homeless people in Singapore do not get good housing to live in, hence this initiative has come forward to solve their problems. Some people are living in temporary places like shelters and are looking for permanent houses for long term.
